“I was not a child prodigy by any sort. To begin my artistic career, all I did was decide to pick up a pencil and draw.
“I am for an art that lives—art that does not apologize for its self. This art shows people what they have forgotten. It depicts the beauties in the world and in the human figure that so often get overlooked. I am for an art that challenges me to make it, and all those who see it. I make my art in any medium I can find, and strive to make these media do what they usually cannot. Often I have to correct people on what medium my art is made of. For me, art is fun, challenging, rewarding and exciting. Each piece of my art is like a child to me, in a way. I put incredible time and effort into it, and then put it out into the world. Either it is loved or disliked, a success or a failure. Either is a direct reflection on me, and I would have it no other way. ”
